Description
The steps and railings to the right of Number 2 are part of a semi-detached villa built around 1840. The building features sandstone ashlar with a plinth and quoins, while the left return and upper floor of the left entrance bay are made of brick. The roof is covered with Welsh slate on the left and concrete tiles on the right. The villa has two storeys and six windows in the main block, along with set-back lower, two-storey entrance bays. The doors have been renewed, with the right door accessed by steps and featuring overlights above. There is a blank wall above the door with stone coping. The plain sash windows have aprons and are set in plain reveals, with the glazing on the ground floor right obscured by wire mesh screens. A band runs across the first floor, and there is a gutter cornice. The hipped roof has a central corniced ashlar chimney. The steps to Number 2 are adorned with scrolled balusters on the handrail. This structure is included for its group value.
