Description
The Borough Housing Department is an early 19th century four-square villa. It is constructed of local pinkish brick with stone dressings and features a low-pitched roof made of buffed Welsh slate. The building has deep eaves supported by paired stone brackets that project from a frieze, which rests on stone capitals of brick pilaster bay divisions. It stands two storeys high, with a layout of four narrower bays by three wider bays. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are adorned with stone lintels and cills. The central entrance on the south front features a plain stone classical doorcase with square columns. The building was purchased for use as a dispensary in 1835.
