Description

The tomb of Jane Clasper, located about 13 metres north of the Church of St. Mary in Whickham, dates from around 1849. It serves as a memorial to Jane Clasper, who died in that year. The tomb is made of sandstone and features a column designed to resemble an up-ended racing skiff, commemorating Jane Clasper, the mother of Henry Clasper. This memorial was erected by Henry Clasper and his brothers.
