Description
This tomb, located approximately 10 metres south-west of the tower of the Church of St John the Baptist, dates from around 1800 and is made of sandstone. It has a square plan and features a moulded cornice, a frieze adorned with paterae and fluting, and a pyramidal cap. On the north side, there is a panel with re-entrant corners that includes an inscription mentioning Jane Boughton, who died in 1799, and Elizabeth Mathews, who died in 1805.
