Description
Dunston Hill Hospital Outpatients Department was originally built as billiard and snooker rooms in 1885, as indicated by the date on the lintel. The building is constructed from sandstone ashlar, featuring a rusticated plinth and raised quoins. It has a Welsh slate roof with wood and glass ridge ventilators. The structure is one storey high and consists of three bays, with half-hexagonal ends. The central entrance door is flanked by windows and there are additional windows in the canted bays on the left and right sides. A sill band runs along the building. The door on the right side has an inscription reading "18JR-C-E85" on its lintel. A central ashlar chimney and two louvred lights are present on the half-hexagonal hip-ended roof.
