Description

The stable range and wall running east to west of the dovecote at The Spital likely dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of light red brick and features a Welsh slate roof with two ridge stacks. The building is a long, irregular two-storey structure that has elliptical carriage arches at the center and smaller round-arched openings. Garage doors have been inserted into the structure. At the north end, the wall extends east to a gate pier. This building is included mainly for its group value context.
