Description
The stables and outbuildings at Kirkconnel House date from the late 18th to early 19th century. They consist of two rectangular-plan ranges positioned end to end, with a driveway in between. The buildings are constructed of whitewashed rubble and are single storey. The south range features a loft, with outer doors on both levels of the east elevation, and includes 12-pane sash windows. It also has a pyramidal-roofed axial dovecot and a slate roof that extends over a former cartshed to the west, which is now in a derelict state. The north range has two doors facing east, a barn door, and a cartshed, topped with a modern tile roof.
