Description

The Hollies is an early 18th-century house that has been enlarged and altered over time. It is constructed of red brick with a Welsh slate roof, stone gable copings, and end chimneys. The house has two storeys and originally had three windows, though the 19th-century sash windows are not quite in their original positions. Gauged brick arches remain visible, hinting at the original window openings. A wood-moulded eaves cornice runs along the roofline. Stepped brick projections are visible on the west end gable. A square bay window, dating from around 1900, was added to the left end of the building. Modern extensions have been added to the rear.
