Description
Hind's Cottages Numbers 1 and 2, located in Smirk Yard, date from the 18th century and were altered in the early to mid-19th century. The cottages are two storeys high and have two windows on the first floor, although they originally had three. They are constructed of brick, with older brick visible below, and feature stucco lintels on the ground floor. The roof is made of pantiles with raised verges and includes two brick chimneys. The windows have glazing bars, with No 1 having casement windows and No 2 featuring sash windows, including one Yorkshire sash on the ground floor to the left. The windows are set in flush moulded frames.
