Description
The ornamental gateway, dating from the mid-19th century, is located 6 meters north of Priory Gardens Cottage in Guisborough. It features a brick segmental arch and supports a late 17th-century bell-cote with a plain pediment and consoles. The southwest side has buttresses, with the left side made of brick and the right side made of stone, both capped with ball finials. The gateway includes iron-studded, boarded doors that are fitted with ornamental iron strap hinges. This structure is included for its group value with Priory Gardens Cottage, the Estate Office, and the outbuildings.
