Description
The entrance gateway to The Old Rectory dates from around 1800. It features outer piers made of yellow brickwork, with a plinth, chamfered corners, a stone astragal, and a moulded stone cap. Low curved walls extend from these piers, connecting to similar gate piers that do not have caps but include a stone insert for metal gate supports. Above the walling, there are cast iron rails with an alternating motif at the top of each rod. The gateway is completed with ornamental cast-iron double gates.
