CALLALY CALLALY NU 01 SW 9/44 Callaly Mains

II

House, formerly farmhouse, estate office and estate laundry. Early C19 with additions of c.1890 probably by Stephenson of Berwick. Earlier section dressed stone, the rest ashlar. Welsh slate roof.

2-storey, 3-bay farmhouse to right has central C20 glazed door with overlight, and 4-pane sliding sashes. Gabled roof with kneelers and corniced end stacks.

Left of this a 4-bay single-storey section whose 12-pane sashes have pulvinated friezes and broken pediments with ball finials in the apex.

Left bay is 2-storey and cross-gabled, Similar window on lst floor also has decorative apron with scrolls and initials AHB for Alan Browne.

Gabled roof.
