Description

Doric House, situated on Percy Street as part of the Howick Street development, was built after 1830. It features a rounded and slightly recessed corner facing Lisburn Street, with one window on the corner and two facing Percy Street. The building is constructed of ashlar, accentuated by a continuous cill band and eaves band. The slate roof is curved at the corner, and there are two brick chimneys. It has glazing bar sash windows. A door leads to the adjoining property at number 11 to the left of centre, while a door on the right provides access to a through-passage and a rear yard. A first-floor extension with a gabled dormer is located in the yard. A cast iron gas lamp, complete with substantial ironwork, stands on the corner. A Victorian wall letter box is situated on the Lisburn Street frontage.
