Description
Greensfield Moor Farmhouse is a house built in the late 18th century, with a 19th-century porch. It is constructed of good-quality squared stone, except for the right return which is made of roughly-coursed stone. The porch features tooled-and-margined stone, and the roof is covered with Welsh slate, having an old brick stack at the left end and a 20th-century brick stack at the right end. The house has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with three symmetrical bays. It has a plinth and a central gabled porch that includes a sill band, a small sash window, and a door on the right return. The windows are 4-pane sashes set in older openings with slightly-projecting sills. The gables are adorned with raised reverse-stepped coping. The left return features a central arched stair window with a 12-pane sash that has intersecting glazing bars. The right return has a blocked first-floor door within an alternating-block surround. The rear elevation displays a central door with renewed double doors beneath a plain overlight, along with a blind window above. There are single-storey pent additions on the returns and attached garden walls, but these are not of special interest.
