Description

Alnbank House is an early to mid-19th century building, approached by a drive. It is a two-storey structure with three windows facing south. The house was constructed in ashlar with prominent side piers. Features include paired cut brackets to the eaves and a double-pitched hipped slate roof. A moulded plinth course runs along the base, and there are glazing bar sash windows throughout. The main entrance, located on the east side, is recessed and flanked by piers supporting a moulded entablature. This front has three windows, complemented by a smart rubblework two-window extension. The interior contains a fine fireplace and several richly detailed mouldings. A late 19th-century conservatory has been added to the west side.
