Description

Blakelaw Cottage is an early 19th-century building situated on Blakelaw Road. It is a two-storey, five-window structure built of coursed rubble with quoins and quoined dressings, now largely covered in ivy. The roof is slate-covered with coped gables and ashlar chimney bases. The windows are glazing bar sash windows. The central entrance features a six-panel door with a rectangular window above it. A single-storey extension to the north creates an 'L' shaped plan, with two doorways. The small courtyard is closed off to the north-east by octagonal gatepiers.
