Description
Loan End is a building dating from before 1827, located on the west side of Percy Terrace. It is two storeys high and features four windows. The exterior is made of ashlar stone and is framed by pilaster strips. To the left, there is a wide two-storey, three-light bay window. The building has cill bands on both the ground and first floors, and a projecting moulded eaves cornice. The roof is slate, with one chimney made of ashlar and another made of rendered brick. The windows are glazing bar sash types, and the shutters inside have fielded panels. The second window from the right is blocked at the rear. There is a wide doorway below with a modern door in the center. At the rear, there is a two-storey extension and a coach arch leading to the stable yard. The terrace in front of the house is accessed by splayed steps, which have a lamp bracket above.
