Description
Cockhall Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 19th century, with a porch added and an outshut heightened in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of squared stone with tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, presenting a symmetrical facade. The central flat-roofed porch features a 6-pane casement and a moulded cornice, with a 6-panel door located on the right side. The house has 12-pane sash windows set in alternating-block surrounds, and the gables are coped with stepped-and-corniced end stacks. Similar windows are found on the left return.
Inside, there are 6-panel doors and old fireplaces in the kitchen and bedroom, the latter featuring contemporary ironwork.
