Description

This is an early 19th-century limekiln located on the west side of the track to Smallburn, near The Miners' Rest. It is constructed from squared rubble and features a sizeable kiln built into the hillside. The kiln has an elliptical drawing arch that is corbelled internally. There are two 4-centred arched openings divided by a pilaster, and it includes a circular pot.
