Description
This is a limekiln, likely built in the early 19th century, located on the north bank of Black Cleugh. It is constructed from rubble and has a square plan, integrated into the hillside. The kiln features a drawing arch with a corbelled pointed head and a course of large irregular blocks positioned above it. At the top of the wall, there is a projecting flag cornice. The circular pot of the kiln is lined with reddened stone.
