WEST ALLEN CARRSHIELD (west side) Carrshield House

GV II House, early C19 extended later C19. Rubble with tooled and margined dressings; slate roof. Two storeys, three bays, symmetrical. Renewed central door under oblong overlight in alternating jambs. Twelve-pane sash windows except for margined sash above door; tooled lintels, slightly projecting sills. Stepped and corniced ashlar end stacks with conjoined shafts. Rear wing has renewed sashes with tooled and margined lintels, slightly projecting sills. Back gable coped with kneelers, carrying stepped and corniced stack.
