Description
Smallburn Farmhouse is a house from the early 19th century, built of squared rubble with a grey slate roof. It has two storeys and two wide bays. The central gabled porch features an 8-pane sash window and a boarded door on the right side. The house has 12-pane sash windows in moulded boxes, except for a late 19th-century sash window in an old opening on the first floor to the right. There are stepped stone stacks at both ends of the house. The right rear wing also has 12-pane sashes in moulded boxes and a stepped stone stack on the back gable. The rear elevation includes a one-and-a-half storey outshut with a boarded door and two small windows to the right, along with a 12-pane sliding sash window on the first floor.
