Description
The walled garden, located approximately 20 yards west of Lorbottle Hall, dates from around 1790. It is constructed of dressed stone and lined with brick. The north and east walls stand about 12 feet high and feature flat coping; these walls were formerly heated. In the center of the east wall, there is a boarded door set within a segmental arch. The south wall is about 5 feet high, made of dressed stone with flat coping, and it ramps up to the side walls at both ends. The west wall is lined with more recent brick. This structure is included for its group value with Lorbottle Hall.
