Description

The building comprises 1-4 Clive Nurseries and Clive Villa, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar with a plinth band. The south end is one storey over a basement, with a three-light bay featuring a cill band and a bayed platform in front. This section has plate glass sash windows, flanked by windows with glazing bars. The north end is two storeys, with single-hung glazing bar sash windows on the first floor, and taller windows on the ground floor that break through the basement level band. A six-panel door with a rectangular light above is located to the left. The building has a hipped roof to the south end, and a gabled extension at a right angle to the north end. A large conservatory, previously noted in the list description, has been demolished.
