Description
Nos 25 and 25A on Clayport Street are early 19th-century buildings that stand three storeys tall with a three-plus-one window arrangement. They are constructed of ashlar stone and topped with a slate roof. The buildings feature late glazed sash windows, with No 25 having a blind window above its central entrance, which consists of a flush panel door. No 25A, which is at the corner of Tower Lane, has one window on each side and an entrance located on the corner. There are also two late 19th-century shop windows with carved fascia brackets. Until the early 19th century, the Clayport Tower, part of the town's defences, stood opposite No 25.
