Description

The pant outside Westgate House, dating from 1755, is a low and square structure made of ashlar. It features a coved and ogee top, which is partly asphalted, and is topped with a ball finial. The pant includes a pipe in a worn-out stone tank that has an ogee panel displaying the names of the chamberlains: Hr William Hindmarsh, Mr Robt. Richardson, Mr Edw. Bell, and one obscured name, dating to about the mid-18th century.
