Description
Abberwick Mill House, with an attached outbuilding to the east, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The house has a T-plan layout and features a symmetrical south elevation with two storeys and three bays. It includes 12-pane sash windows, some of which have been renewed, with slightly projecting sills; the windows in the centre bay are narrower. The gables are coped and sit on moulded kneelers, with rendered end stacks on old bases. The lower outbuilding to the right has a coped right end gable. The rear elevation displays a projecting gabled wing with a stepped-and-corniced end stack, and there is a renewed door beneath a small 20th-century porch on the left return. The outbuilding to the left has a renewed door and two blocked slit vents.
