Description
Bothal Mill House and the adjacent outbuilding date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from tooled stone with tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings, and feature a Welsh slate roof, except for pantiles on the outbuilding. The house is two storeys high and has three bays, with raised quoins and sill bands. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with a patterned overlight, set in a moulded surround beneath a cornice supported by moulded corbels. The windows are 16-pane sash types, framed by raised alternating-block surrounds. The eaves are supported by moulded corbels, and the gables are coped with moulded kneelers, while the end stacks are stepped and corniced. The single-storey outbuilding to the right has a small casement window with a timber lintel. Inside, there is an open-string staircase with stick balusters.
