Description

A former mill house dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. The building is rendered with false ashlar jointing, stone dressings, and a Welsh slate double roof punctuated by coped gables and brick chimney stacks. It is three storeys high and has three bays. The ground floor features a plinth and pilaster strips, with sash windows set within moulded architraves, each with small console brackets to the sills. The upper bay of the first floor has a 12-pane sash window, while the others have 16-pane sashes, with an additional window between bays two and three on the ground floor. Two doorways are present on the ground floor, each with a six-panel door. The doorway to bay one is plain, while the doorway to bay two has a surround of Doric pilasters with an entablature and flat hood. The south elevation features double gables, with pairs of 12-pane sash windows with eaved architraves to each gable on the first floor. The second floor has 16-pane sash windows to the inner bays and painted blind windows to the outer bays, all with moulded architraves and brackets to the sills. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
