Description
A pair of houses dating from the earlier 19th century, situated in a row on Tucker Street. The houses are built with rubble walls rendered smooth, and have a clay pantiled roof punctuated by coped gables and brick end chimney stacks. Each house has two storeys with attics, featuring a single bay. The windows are sash windows in simple openings; those on the left-hand house (No.17) have 24 panes, while those on the right-hand house (No.16) have 6 panes. The entrance doors are set together in the centre, with a 4-panel door to No.17, and a 20th-century part-glazed door to No.16. Dormers are raked into the roof, with a 3-light casement window to No.17 featuring small panes, and a plain window to No.16. The interior of the houses has not been inspected.
