Description
This headstone, located 15 metres south of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, dates from around 1750 and is made of sandstone. It features a shaped segmental top. The east face has been re-cut and bears an inscription to John Todd, who died in 1826. The west face is inscribed with the phrase "MEMENTO MORI," accompanied by a cherub above a death's head and crossbones. This headstone is included for its group value with the Charlton tomb.
