Description
The Todd Monument, located immediately to the south of the chancel of the Church of St Michael, is a headstone dating from 1827. It is made of sandstone ashlar and features a rounded head. At the top, there is a cherub's head with rays emanating below it. Swags, which are caught up through rings at the upper angles, fall to the sides in a series of scrolling curves. The inscription, although partly worn, commemorates Edward Todd.
