Description

Mitford Castle features the remains of its east curtain wall, dating from the 12th and 13th centuries. The wall is constructed of squared stone. The north-east section includes a gateway leading to the barmkin, though it is fragmentary. The south-east section is better preserved and contains mural chambers, a garderobe, and a round arch of uncertain function.
