Description

Bleach House, located approximately 20 yards southeast of Otterburn Mills, is a disused bleach house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed stone and features a corrugated iron roof. The building is a small, single-storey rectangular structure with a boarded door situated in the gable end and has a monopitch roof. Inside, there are rows of rods for hanging wet cloth. This building is included in the register for its industrial-archaeological significance.
