Description
The Vicarage is an 18th-century vicarage that was remodeled in the late 18th century or very early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed stone with ashlar dressings, while the second span at the rear is made of English garden wall bond brick. There is a lower extension to the right, also in similar brick, and the roofs are covered with Welsh slate.
The building has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance features a pedimented door surround with attached Tuscan columns and a fluted frieze. The door is vertical-panelled, and above it is a 12-pane sash window in a raised surround. The outer bays each have two-storey canted bay windows, with a 12-pane sash window in each light. The roof is gabled with flat coping, kneelers, and corniced end stacks.
At the rear, the building has stone quoins and alternating-block surrounds to the openings.
Inside, there is a staircase with stick balusters and turned newels, six-panel doors, and two mid-19th century marble fireplaces with round-arched openings.
