Description

The urn located on the island in the drive, 80 metres northeast of Blagdon Hall, is a notable feature of Sir Edwin Lutyens' garden design from 1926 to 1938. This urn, made of early 18th century Coade stone, is set on a panelled plinth. The east side of the plinth is inscribed with "MWR 1902 1964," while the west side bears the inscription "UR 1904 1967." The urn itself is tall and gadrooned, adding to the aesthetic of the garden.
