Description

This is a dovecote located 30 metres south-east of Rock Farmhouse, dating from the mid- to late 19th century. It is constructed of tooled squared stone with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof topped with a timber lantern. The dovecote has a hexagonal plan and includes a plinth. The chamfered doorway is complemented by a moulded string at mid-height and a chamfered boarded window opening above the door, both of which have hoodmoulds. The roof is pyramidal, and the low lantern has three arched pigeon holes on each face, finished with a pyramidal cap. Inside, there are brick wall boxes and alighting bands.
