Description
Nos. 15 and 17 Rock Village are a pair of estate houses built in the mid-19th century, with a 20th-century extension. The houses are constructed from squared tooled stone with tooled-and-margined dressings and feature a Welsh slate roof. They are two storeys high and consist of five bays. The fourth and fifth bays project outwards; bay four has 12-pane Yorkshire sash windows, with the lower window featuring a hoodmould, while bay five has an inserted triple 8-pane casement window with a 6-pane casement above. Both projecting bays have coped gables resting on moulded kneelers. The bays on either side of the projecting section have doorways with hoodmoulds; the right doorway (No. 15) has a half-glazed door, and the left doorway (No. 17) has a vertical-panelled door. The left end bay of No. 17 is a 20th-century extension, which includes a triple 6-pane casement window. The gable ends have pitched coping, with the right gable featuring a moulded kneeler, and there is one stepped-and-corniced ridge stack.
