Description
No. 11 Rock Village is a mid-19th century estate cottage that was heightened in the 20th century. The building is constructed of roughly-tooled stone, with squared rubble at the rear, and features tooled-and-margined dressings. It has a Welsh slate roof and is primarily one storey with attics, comprising two bays.
The right bay contains paired 12-pane sash windows, with older stones inscribed 'T.S.A.S.' and '1625' set as jambs. The left bay features paired 6-pane casements, and both ground-floor windows have hoodmoulds. Above, there are paired 6-pane casements in gabled half-dormers. All windows are surrounded by chamfered surrounds, with the upper windows having slightly-projecting sills. The building has coped gables and a stepped-and-corniced stack at the left end.
To the left, there is a single-storey bay that includes a half-glazed door in an old opening and a 9-pane fixed window. A shorter single-storey section to the left connects to the Village Hall. The cottage is included for its group value with nearby structures.
