Engine house as part of planned farm layout, mid C19. Roughly-squared stone with cut quoins and dressings. Chimney stack brick in English Garden Wall Bond 1 and 3, on rock-faced ashlar base; Welsh slate roofs. North elevation 2 storeys, 4 bays: stable door with pitching door over in second bay; part-slatted windows. Right return shows similar openings. Lower pent-roofed parts to rear, with attached chimney: square base with upper corners chamfered back to bold roll moulding at base of tapering circular stack; moulded stone ring below heavy moulded stone cornice.

Attached range of farmbuildings to east are not of special interest.
