Description

The building is a house and shop that dates from the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with a slate roof and features corniced stacks. The structure has two storeys and two windows. The central door has five triangular-headed panels and a four-pane overlight. The windows are primarily 16-pane sashes, except for the lower right window, which is a 24-pane sash shop window. At the rear, there is an outshut with barred sash windows and a later door. To the right of the front door, there is a wall-mounted letterbox with the 'G.R.' insignia and an original notice affixed. A framed notice is positioned higher on the same wall, indicating it is a Money Order Office and Post Office Savings Bank. The front of the building has a dwarf wall with railings featuring lilac standards, although these are damaged. An attached house to the left has been much altered and is not of interest.
