Description
This is a churchyard memorial located about 25 yards south of the Church of St. Bartholomew in Kirkwhelpington, built in 1833. The memorial is made of ashlar and stands approximately 5 feet high with an arched top. It commemorates three beloved children who died in 1833 from a fatal fever: Elizabeth, who passed away on July 31st at the age of 4 years; Jane, who died on August 9th at one month old; and William, who died on August 17th at the age of 7 years. The inscription includes a poignant verse reflecting the family's grief and hope for the children's eternal peace.
