Description

The Farmhouse, located in a range of buildings north of The Anglers Arms, is an early 18th-century house. The front is made of squared, roughly-tooled stone, while the rear is constructed from rubble. It features a Welsh slate roof, except for the rear slope which has artificial blue slates, and an old brick stack on the rear wing. The house is two storeys high with two bays. The door, which is right of centre, has been renewed and is set in a heavy alternate-block surround. The windows are early 20th-century 4-pane casements, except for a 6-pane window on the ground floor to the right. The left gable has raised reverse-step coping, and there are end stacks, with the left stack rendered. The rear elevation includes a projecting wing with a gable stack, a 12-pane sash window, and an 8-pane Yorkshire sash window above on the right return. Attached buildings to the south, known as the 'Country Shop', and to the north are of similar age but have been altered and are not considered of special interest.
