Description

The Old Kilns, located 30 metres south-east of Newtonkiln House, is a limekiln constructed from rubble with roughly-cut quoins, featuring brick and cast iron elements. It has a segmental-curved front that includes three tall drawing arches with truncated gabled heads. The structure also has paired iron-framed eyes set in yellow brick. Inside, there is a pot with an apsidal end lined with brick in header bond.
