Description

Nos. 8 and 10 Front Street are a pair of houses built in 1752, featuring the initials M B on the door lintel of No. 10. The houses were heightened in the early 19th century. They are constructed from squared tooled stone with dressings and have a blue slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of two bays.

On the left side, there is a pair of 20th-century glazed doors set in an old chamfered surround with irregular tooled dressings. Above the doors, there is a re-set stone inscribed with "OMNIA BONA BONIS / R L 1707." The houses also feature 16-pane sash windows, which have tooled-and-margined lintels and sills, and there are end stacks on either side.
