Description

This is a pant, a small building used for covering a coal or stone seam, dated 1859. It is located adjacent to Driftwood Lodge in Alnmouth, on the south side of Peases’ Lane. The pant is constructed from good-quality squared stone and features a shouldered, stop-chamfered segmental arch with an incised date, set beneath a gable with moulded coping. A rectangular stone trough is attached. A detached wall is not of group value.
