Description
Nos. 7 and 7A on Northumberland Street are two dwellings that were originally a single house built in the early 19th century. The building is constructed from squared stone and features a Welsh slate roof. It has two storeys and consists of one bay on the left and three bays on the right, with a plinth at the base.
The right part of the building, which is No. 7, has a right-of-centre part-glazed six-panel door set in a moulded wood frame. This door is topped by a segmental-headed arch with a stone gabled hood supported by cusped corbels. The plain sash windows have slightly projecting sills, with the window to the left of the door featuring a segmental-arched head.
The left bay, which is No. 7A, has boarded double doors beneath a joggled flat arch that indicates a former carriage entrance, along with a small window to the right. On the first floor, there is a late 19th-century hip-roofed oriel window with paired sashes, situated beneath a small gable that has a slit. The building has a coped left end gable and stepped stacks with chamfered caps on the ridge and left end. The property is included for its group value with nearby structures.
