Description

The Galleon is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of squared stone with cut dressings and features a Welsh slate roof with a yellow brick chimney stack. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The central doorway is set in a moulded surround, which has been partly cut away. To the left of the doorway is a plate glass window in an old opening, while to the right is a later shop window. There is also an inserted doorway at the right end of the building. The first floor has four-pane sash windows, and the ground-floor left and upper windows have keyed supra-lintels. The gables are coped and sit on moulded kneelers, with a stack located at the left end. The Galleon is included for its group value.
