Description

Seabank is an 18th-century house in Alnmouth, Northumberland. Originally listed as The Manor House, it has undergone interior and rear remodelling in the 20th century. The house is constructed of tooled squared stone, whitewashed with painted black dressings, and has a Welsh slate roof. The main part of the building is two storeys high, with a symmetrical façade of one bay plus three bays plus one bay. It features rusticated quoins, a chamfered plinth, and sill bands. The central doorway is blocked and now contains a window set within a surround of pilasters and a cornice. There are eight-pane sashes in architraves throughout. A coped gable is present on the right-hand end. An additional bay has been added to the left, also with rusticated quoins, and contains a window above a flat-arched carriage entrance.
