Hart Windmill 60 Metres To South East Of Hart Mill Farmhouse

Hart Windmill is an early 19th-century windmill located 60 meters southeast of Hart Mill Farmhouse. It is constructed of random limestone rubble and has a rendered exterior, with renewed cement render on the north side. The windmill features a tapered circular tower that rises three storeys. There are doorways on the east and west sides, a blocked doorway on the southeast, and a loft door on the southeast side of the middle floor. The window openings have brick segmental heads and are located on the northwest side of the ground floor, the north side of the middle floor, and the east side of the top floor. Most of the machinery remains intact, although it is missing the stones and has only one sail left. The outbuildings to the northwest and the adjoining southeast side have been altered significantly and are not of interest. At the time of the survey, the windmill was dilapidated, and the internal features were decaying.
